MEET FOUNDING PARTNER, LINDSAY BURTON

Lindsay Burton is the Founding Partner of BAM LEGAL GROUP, a firm dedicated to fighting for California tenants and advocating for plaintiffs in personal injury, employment discrimination, and tenant habitability litigation. Drawing on a career built around trial advocacy and access to justice, Ms. Burton co-founded BAM LEGAL GROUP with Montse Plancarte Murillo in 2025, to give California tenants a powerhouse ally - both in and out of the courtroom.

Ms. Burton believes strong client relationships are the foundation of strong results. By truly understanding how her clients' injuries and damages have impacted their lives, she advocates with the depth and conviction they deserve. This client-centered approach has translated into results — including multiple individual settlements exceeding $10 Million, and a career record of verdicts and settlements now totaling more than $485 Million.

Ms. Burton's exceptional legal work has earned her numerous awards, including Super Lawyers Rising Star (2019-2026); Top 10 Under 40 Personal Injury Attorneys (2023); Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Attorneys (2019, 2023, & 2025); and Daily Journal Top Verdicts (February 2020).

Montse Plancarte Murillo is a Founding Partner of BAM LEGAL GROUP, where she has built her practice around one core mission: protecting California tenants. She represents renters in lawsuits against negligent landlords for uninhabitable living conditions — including water leaks, water damage, mold, vermin and pest infestations, and landlord harassment. Ms. Murillo takes on illegal conditions, landlord retaliation, illegal rent increases, and unlawful evictions on behalf of California tenants subjected to abusive and exploitative landlord practices. Ms. Murillo is deeply passionate about driving slumlords out of Los Angeles and all of California.

Ms. Murillo is relentless in her pursuit of justice for Californians and Angeleños. She confidently takes on slumlords through aggressive litigation to secure successful outcomes for tenants who have been wronged. Ms. Murillo's drive took root in law school in Los Angeles, where she mentored local low-income students, championed immigrant rights, and worked to free the wrongfully convicted.

Ms. Murillo is licensed to practice in the State of California and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

In her free time, Ms. Murillo enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time with her family.
